Our Commitment

SABOT employs people of many different nationalities and expertise, fostering a culture of mutual respect and understanding, with equal opportunities for all.

A Code of Conduct is at the core of our shared ethical values and expectations. All employment decisions, such as hiring, training and promotion, are based on merit. A Whistleblowing Hotline enables our people to confidentially raise any concerns or issues, including those relating to human rights. We strongly believe that all our employees should demonstrate openness, transparency, honesty and trust.

We work constructively with the representatives of our employees and respect their right to join unions and enter collective agreements. Approximately 90% of our employees are trade union members, and collective bargaining agreements are in place at the majority of our operational entities.

Realising Your Full Potential

As an industry-leading company with ambitious global expansion plans, we know that attracting and retaining the best talent is key to a long-term competitive advantage.

Our Human Resources team is committed to the development of our staff’s talents, experiences and skills. We have created an environment that enables new employees to adapt as quickly as possible to the organisation's culture and its processes. A network of line managers, HR specialists and mentors helps new employees become acquainted with work requirements and standards.

We pay attention to internal recruitment when considering candidates for open vacancies and we consider promotions for talented staff.

Policies

We continuously develop our governance structures to best support our business strategy in a sustainable and ethical way. The Sustainable Development Council (SDS), which is responsible for developing our strategy in a way that embeds sustainability into our everyday business, was established in 2016. We adopted the ERG Human Rights Policy that sets out our commitment to human rights.

Other policies include: Agent Compliance; Anti-Money Laundering; Anti-Bribery and Corruption; Anti-Fraud; Anti-Trust and Competition Law Compliance; Conflict of Interest; CSR Projects and Sponsorship; Data Protection; Employee Certification; Gifts and Entertainment; Information Classification; Related Party Contracts.
