Job Purpose
- To maintain and improve safety, health, environment and quality system.
- Promote SHE awareness in the areas of responsibility
Key responsibilities / Outputs
- Ensure compliance to the SHEQ systems manual
- Participating in the Incident Reporting processes
- Report on environmental aspects within areas of responsibility
- Participate in relevant internal/external SHERQ audits
- Action processes in Legal SHEQ compliance
- Participate in the relevant monthly SHEQ meetings
- Systems awareness and training/coaching in areas of responsibility
- Participate in relevant site visits VFL programs
- Control of documents and records in area of responsibility
- Maintain contractor requirements
- Manage and promote SHEQ Communication
- Participating in monthly group SHEQ meetings.
- Take part on scheduled management walk-abouts and complete inspection reports.
- Collating the monthly Site Safety Statistics.
- Participating in emergency drills.
- Inspect firefighting equipment availability and quality
Qualifications and Experience
- 3-5 years cross border road transport experience
Competency requirements
Knowledge:
- Grade 12
- SAMTRAC / Relevant Nebosh or similar Health and Safety Certificate or enrolled to obtain such a certificate
- ISO 9001 – 2015 understanding
- Environmental Management
Skills:
- English
- Basic skill in French will be beneficial
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong Excel skills will be an advantage
